Cost of LAGB Surgery

The cost of a LAP-BAND^® System procedure varies widely, so it is difficult to predict what your patients’ actual costs will be. These variations are often due to the type of health plan patients have, whether the surgeon and hospital are in-network providers, and whether the procedure is performed on an in- or out-patient basis. Generally speaking, the cost of the procedure (facility, surgeon and anesthesiologist) can run from $12,000 to $30,000.

In addition to the surgery, patients will need to be seen by their surgeon for follow-up care and adjustments. The fee for such follow-up visits usually ranges from $35.00 to $200.00, depending how long patients are seen in the office.
